The Basics of a Lemonade Slushie
A basic lemonade is easy to create. You can do it using 1/2-cup of water, four cups of ice, a 1/2 cup of lemon juice concentrate, and half a cup of sugar. From there, you add your ingredients to your blender, saving the ice for last. You will want to slowly pour the ice in as some of the chunks get broken up. When it is smooth, you will pour the lemonade mixture into a glass and serve immediately.
If you want to make it look a little more appealing, you can add lemon or lime wedges to the top of the glass. To ensure it is sweeter or less sugary, you can adjust the sugar content you add. This recipe will provide you with approximately a quart of lemonade slushie when all combined. If you need more or less, you can change the recipe as needed.
You may also opt to use Kool-Aid packets rather than lemon juices. This can work as well. Though we do recommend that you mix up your Kool-Aid and then add the liquid to your blender with the ice cubes. This will provide you with the flavor you love without guessing at it.
If you have fresh lemons on hand, you can also use them to create your lemonade slushie. You can juice the lemons, zest them, and a sweetener-either sugar (cooked into a syrup form using one-part water and one-part sugar, honey, agave, or any other sweetener you use typically.
