I am an online-media journalist who happens to enjoy cooking. I, like more and more men every day, am finding myself cooking for my girlfriend, family and friends.
This blog is plain and simple: One dude and his food. It is a place for me to keep tabs on my recipes, some new some learned, and share them with those looking for something new.
My main influence as far as cooking came from my late grandmother. She specialized in Cuban food. Many of the recipes here are for dishes that I ate as a child. If my food has even a fraction of the flavor my grandmother's food used to have, I'll be happy.

I just wanted to try posting to some of the different sections. I started wondering what sorts of things I was going to put in the drinks section, then I realized that cafe Cubano would be one of the first drinks I tackle. I will also do cortaditos, cafe con leche, etc.
